The proposed Members' Lodge, the centerpiece of Turks & Caicos Sporting Club, is home to
member reception and the Sporting Club concierge, indoor and al fresco dining, bar and lounge,
billiards and card room, movie theater, a children's center and library.
Scott Merrill of Merrill, Pastor & Colgan Architects leads the design of the Members' Lodge
and adjoining Fitness Center. After serving for two years as the Town Architect of Seaside, Florida,
Scott Merrill opened a practice in Vero Beach, Florida. He attended the University of Virginia, and
Yale University, where he received a Masters of Architecture in 1984. Merrill, Pastor & Colgan's
projects include a federal courthouse, town hall, two churches, a fitness center, a clock tower, two
post offices, a motor court, apartment buildings, an equestrian center, an office building, rental
cottages and a sales office. In addition, they have completed a number of custom-designed houses.
The firm has won three national AIA design awards, and 12 Florida AIA design awards.
