Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay –
A Growing Part of the Community

The team at Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay is proud to be part of the growing Turks & Caicos Islands. Ambergris Cay, an 1,100-acre private island with 92-foot elevations and 8 miles of shoreline, is transforming into one of the Caribbean’s most sought-after private, residential communities. The response to Phase 1 of the Turks & Caicos Sporting Club offering has been phenomenal, attracting an international membership. After the initial sell-out of the first release, Le Grand Cottages and Calico Jack Cottages, sales continue to exceed expectations. Since inception, the Sporting Club has had approximately $120 million in land and membership sales. And the numbers continue to grow.

The Sporting Club includes an array of private, proposed amenities including a 5,700-foot paved jet strip and customs house, 100-slip marina with 200-foot+ capacity, a Members’ Lodge with dining, bar, reception, a full-service spa and yoga studio, Beach Club, world-class sportfishing, snorkeling and diving (PADI certified), sailing, boating, windsurfing, 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, Environmental Learning Center, staff naturalist, equestrian stables, bridle trails and a marina village with shops. All the properties on the island have an ocean view and prices range from $525,000 to $ 4.5 million for homesites from one-half to eight acres.

The Greenbrier Resort & Club Management Company will manage the members-only Sporting Club amenities. A proven leader in the management of premier private clubs, GRCM brings expertise, legendary quality and five-star service to every aspect of Sporting Club operations.

The Design Team
Construction on the private amenities like Hawkes Nest Harbour Marina, Calico Jack Pavilion and the 5,700-foot paved jet strip are well underway, and the Club has assembled an impressive array of visionaries and designers. Madison Spencer of Madison Spencer Architects, serves as Director of Design. Mr. Spencer's experiences are broad, from projects as large as a master plan for a Caribbean resort village and buildings at the University of Virginia to the restoration of smaller, private, historical residences.

Renowned architect Demetri Porphyrios leads the design of the Hawkes Nest Harbour Marina & Village. Dr. Porphyrios is known for his design of traditional and classical forms. He is the recipient of the Driehaus International Prize in Architecture. His internationally known projects include the Quadrangle and Auditorium for Magdalen College in Oxford and the Town of Pitiousa in Spetses, which inspired Hawkes Nest Harbour Marina & Village.

Dedicated to the Island’s Legacy
Sporting Club members can revel in the knowledge that the developers are passionate about keeping Ambergris Cay pristine and beautiful. The 7,000-foot diving wall off the coast of Ambergris Cay will be preserved for generations to enjoy. And, with the Sporting Club’s expert guides leading the way, divers and snorkelers can linger in mangrove channels, discover hidden caves and share the wonders of the sea with wild dolphins, humpback whales and sea turtles.

Plans for Turks & Caicos Sporting Club call for no more than 500 homesites, one-third of the island will be left undeveloped and designated as Mensen Preserve. Iguana-friendly motorized carts will be the sole mode of transportation once construction is complete. A catch-and-release sportfishing program is also in place.

With both pre-designed cottages and custom homes available, members can choose the property that best suits their life and style. And, access to Ambergris Cay is easy from Provo via the Club jet. Direct flights to Provo are available from London, Toronto, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Charlotte, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
